Hey guys I'm looking to purchase an intake for my 09 Versa and I'm wondering what you guys have on your cars? I wouldn't mind going with cold air but will I have to take it off when it rains or snows? If so I'll probably go with short ram.

And how about the legality of it? Do some of them come with stickers showing they're legal? Just in case I get pulled over haha. Thanks.

I've sold a few of the CAI to people in Canada and have not heard of any problems....I'm sure they can chime in here and tell us if all is well.

None that I know of right now has the sticker you refer to but I've been stopped a few times and they have checked my engine compartment and they have never said anything.....and this is California and they can be tough on these kinds of things.

If you decide to get a full CAI I've got a killer price on Fujita right now....just this side of stealing one!!!

you should have no problem with rain. unless you drive through a flood and completely submerge the filter, and if you are worried about that then you can also get an aem bypass valve...http://www.t7performance.com/s...d=135

also there is no short ram intake available

I bought the Fujita recently, but had put off installation and was thinking about waiting until next may when it will be a bit dryer. In CNY it rains almost everyday and the winters are wet sloppy mess, so I was concerned with the wetness as well. Even though I have been reassured a thousand times, it would be just as my luck goes.

As far as this bypass valve, it says it goes on the upper portion of the inlet pipe. Anyway have an pictures of this or can vouch for it's performance. Does it shut the engine off air flow when it gets wet? Or does it somehow filter out the water? thanks

You will not hurt your engine unless you run into a puddle that is as deep as the fiilter sits (bascially you car would be floating probably).

finally.. another person from MD... im up in Bel Air... I just got the Fujita on... the install wasnt too bad... and there arent any legality issus... plus it makes the car sound BA.. water isnt a problem unless you drive through a big puddle and submerge the filter, but the location its at, if you submerge it, you have other problems too.

I just bought the Fujita for it's $150 sale price. I didn't really wanna pay $240 at the moment but couldn't pass that price up. I'll try the wheel well, too. No point in going through all that trouble to take off a bumper if you don't have to.

I've heard about the Cici's meets but I haven't been down there, I actually just moved here a few months ago from Socal.

We should definitely do a photoshoot though, I have an SLR camera with tripod so we just need to find a nice spot :D.

I wanna get a set of really nice 17" wheels and drop it on some Tanabe springs. I haven't made up my mind on the wheels yet. I'll also do audio pretty soon and pick up a Pioneer HU along with a sub and amp.

Down the road I'd like to pick up some kind of exhaust, and maybe a wing and lip kit. I have to do something with the grill though, I don't like the stock one haha. So far I like the Impul one so I might go with that.

What about you guys, what mods have you done or are planning to do?
