Just fit an air bypass valve on the intake tubing further upstream

ummm, why move it? it gets fed cool ir drawn from behind the passanger headlight, if you run a cone filter it also draws air up from below each headlight, it is already a cold air intake, what more do you want

if you are looking for power, just turbo the car, you'll max out around 160 whp without cams, headwork and tuning, if you spend the money on cams heads and tunign you can get 200 whp, or oyu just do a turbo swap crank the boost add an intercooler and get 300 whp

I like your style but evildky is right what else would you want its in a great location stock. just run some autozone piping and a cone to the stock location and boom 2 more HP and dont have to worry about water

the stock extera made what 190 chp? so aroudn 160 whp? might be able tog et 200 whp with extra boost, my Z31 puts over 300 whp and it's simple and clears the stock hood

not hating on the sc swap, it's different but not the easist or cheapest way to make power in a Z31

The SC swap is just the begining of the xperiment project..also have two brand new 370Z turbos still in the box......Going to get it to run right with the charger then try to add the turbos....as long as i equal out the pressure in all of the should have no problems...hence what goes in must come out with equal pressure......Attempted this with a 96 SSEI Supercharged Bonneville....worked for a while but the aluminum block couldnt withstand the pressure....hopin to have better luck with the Z iron block in my ride im gonna need assistance with the charger though....i do have the ondemand5.com mitchell program...but ive never dealt with a japenese car before ....sooo........gonna need your input on this one guys....thanx

WOW! if you are having a problem figuring out how to relocate the air filter, I can't wait to see how lost you're going to get with a supercharger addition or twin turbo setup attempt.

you're gonna want to regroup and do some more research, the 370 is n/a so whatever turbo's you have, aren't from a 370

and your concept of getting it running sc then swapping to turbo is just wrong, if you wanted to build a turbo motor, build a turbo motor, it's easier than the sc swap

as for tuning, the beauty of a mas air system as so long as you do not excede the range of the maf and the ecu is calibrated to the propper size injectors and they flow enough fuel to meet the needs of the amount of air being fed into the engine there is no real tuning needed to make it run, of course dialing in the fuel and ignition maps can squeeze out that little extra but not needed to make it run or even be drivable

and all boost is not equal, I have no idea what the flow rate of the sc is but a stock T3 flows around 30 lbs/min, compared to a T3 60-2 flows around 60 lbs/min, so the 60-1 flows nearly twice as much air as the stock T3 at the same boost levels! how many lbs/min does the sc flow?
