You'll find out soon enough that the 240 gets BASTARDIZED with all kinds of motor swaps from different makes and front ends from japanese siblings. So don't worry about that

And the gtir throttle body setup will not bolt on... for that matter, it doesn't just bolt on to other sr20's either - let alone a ka24. Not to mention, if it did, the plenum opening would be pointing straight into the firewall. If you got an adapter plate made to flip the plenum upside down, and bolt them to the head it would work. But on that budget I dont think it is happening. Stay with the stock water pump, it isnt stealing any noticeable amount of power. And electric water pumps are useless in anything but a track only car. You will gain more by ditching your mechanical cooling fan for an electric fan.

I hope you have a lot of extra cash laying around. With an ITB setup on a KA, you won't be able to use your MAF and stock ECU. You'd have t run a standalone fuel management setup. If money is an issue to you, I'd really recommend not doing this, lol.

This is also the wrong forum for that question, but feel free to try asking in the KA24DE/ KA24E forums. These are the boost bug forums.

Actually - assuming you made the throttle bodies fit... You could use the stock ecu, and maf. All you have to do is run a plenum on the inlet of the throttle bodies. In fact, that is how the gtir setup is designed from the factory - The toyota 4age ITB's might be an option with an adapter plate as well, because they also incorporate a plenum so you can use a maf.

That's similar to dumping some cash on a whole new catback exhaust setup..... and then welding a silencer on the end of it.

Is it now? I guess nissan and toyota had their heads up their asses when they decided to use that setup... Gtir - yep, ITB's joined by a plenum... Rb26dett yep - ITB's joined with a plenum, 4age toyota engines, yep - ITB's joined with a plenum. All of them run great, which completely goes against what you are saying. Seriously, it has been done many times and always with great results - Using the plenum will not reduce the flow at all as long as it is capable of letting in enough air, which isnt too hard - do I need to do the math for you? There is no need to argue over something so simple...

Stop posting non turbo related questions is the KAT forum. If it doesn't have to do with a turbo, then it doesn't go there. Thanks...

the GT3 270ish hp KA-E's run ITB's on a plenum

as do MANY other race car setups, even engines from Nissans racing heritage, like R390's and sheeyot

it provides cooler air, and they can tune it better then just stacks........

if you make your plenum big enough and your ducting, I fail to see how it is detrimental in anyway but looks
