Hey guys! could someone suggest a nice short ram intake or cold air intake for a 2.5 coupe? My friend has a splash guard on his CAI, any intakes that would have that or have it point up?

I would def. check out the K&N. I think thats the best one for the 2.5.

I love my Injen, but I think the AEM and K&N have the best design

Yeah i was just looking at AEM and they look pretty sick and they have a CAI or no?

So out of the three: AEM, K&N, or Injen... which would be the best buy for any gains and sound Quality?

None are a true CAI in most peoples state of minds. The AEM and K&N have more airflow from the air dam and heat box but it is still up top in the engine bay. There are no CAI in the sense of long piping down to the wheel well or directly behind the grill, and there won't be due to the lack of space in the 2.5 and especially the 3.5

All intakes will offer a similar gain in HP (a couple) and the sound differences are there but minimal

On the market there is AEM, K&N, Injen, Fujita, Weapon R. I think that's it but those are the main ones at least. All of this has been covered time and time again, it's mostly decided on your preference. I chose Injen because it looked nice and didn't break the bank. Along with them using blue filters now (matches my black and blue theme) I was decided from the get go

I guess no one has yet to try the Takeda Retain intake yet.

I would say the K&N is the only one worth saving up for.

+1 for what rob and ricko said, none are true CAI, but as far as design and quality def. the K&N or AEM. does AEM make one for the 2.5? I thought it was only the 3.5.
