I am curious where you are getting your LED lights, and where you got the specs for them.
LED's, and there are various types, load your circuits differently than filament type lights. If they draw less current, then it does not present a problem unless they are turn signal lights. The lower current can cause the flasher unit to either not work, or work very slowly, usually the former.
Drawing to much current can, of course, blow fuses or pop circuit breakers. These are "sized" (current level) to protect the wiring and components from damage. So, hopefully your system is OK. If you heard a "click", I am hoping you poped a circuit breaker as fuses generally do make much of a sound when they go. Problem is that the owners manual only talks about the fuses and fusible links in two locations: the engine compartment and passenger compartment.
I have been looking into getting a set of factory service manuals for my Rogue, especially to get a set of wiring diagrams.
I too, would like to have all LED lights, but that is best achieved by buying a car designed for it. I have replaced some lights with LED's with success. Mainly, non-dimming interior lights and license plate illumination lights.
