You need to wire those to the door switch. When you open the door they turn on, close the door they turn off. Do not wire into a new circuit!!!

Sorry but...I know it's like elementary school for you but where is the door switch I'll be grateful if you could post photos of the full process it might be a reference to others.

Its purty easy, buy one of the platic wire tap things and find the power wire going to the door swtich and tap the door sills power wire into it. And then ground the ground wire and vuala.

I did that process to my truck and not my V, but the concept is the same.

I can go through step by step on doing both things (setting up a neon kit and getting those door sills to work) but I can only post the door sill on here. Pm me your email and ill email the step by step for the neons. But I must warn you, there might be some small difference being I have a truck and no longer have my V. But the concept will be the same.

As far as the ground goes, just take a self tapping screw and drill it into the frame with the wire on it out of sight (for clean look). And for the wire tap thing, theres no cutting needed, you just stick the tap over the power wire for the door switch and then the power wire for the sill on the other side. Its kind of hard to explain without doing it.

Heres the pics of both:

Self tapping screw -

Wire tap -

I will go into more detail once I do the walk throughs
