Hi there, 1st timer, so bere with me. I have a 96 maxima se and I need to replace my inner tie rod. I figured I'd do both sides along with the outers. The manual explains, how to do the outers but not the inners. Can someone tell me what tools are needed and the prcedure to removing these inner tie rods? Thanks,AZDuke

Use a tierod tool if the end is slotted, then connect the crowsfoot around it and lock it and use a rachet at the other end and loosen it. Or if it's not slotted you'll have to use some pliers or visegrips to turn the inner loose. Not too difficult. Hope that helps. You'd might be able to rent the tool from Autozone or any parts store, I'm not sure though.

Thanks for the input it really helped and worked. Wanted to ask you another question when re-assembling. When tightening up, steering knuckle turned. Though steering wheel is in locked position, you could see it's npot aligned correctly (Rotor straight/ steering wheel offcenter). How can I realign this before driving it to the align shop? Thanks,Z~
