Yeah, firefox's auto correct sometimes sucks...Dattebayo wrote:

Whatever... that's doing pretty good for wrecking in the snow, 240's really suck in that kind of precipitation too...
I say double check the headlight actuator arms for cracking/damage cause any hit to that region can and will hurt that cheap plastic thingy. Kudos for keeping it in the corner where the 240 is strong, man!
LOL thats the weatherman for you. they fit the position of a lawer.Arashi wrote:
Yeah...
While I was at it, I put a hit out on the weather guys who said it'd just be a little flurries later on in the evening...

240s suck in the snow compared to other cars, you can drive anything in the snow, some slower than others, a 240 is slower in the snow. Ive read 2 of your posts now and they both make you sound like an a$$squonk wrote:240s suck in the snow? I beg to differe mother****er. I drive my vert in the snow although I would much prefer to drive my hooptie 90 240sx. I love to drive my 240s in the snow. I also don't drive with snow tires. It's all about how you handle and how you drive the car. I have never wrecked my 240s in the snow or the rain. Snow is never the problem ice is the problem. If you can't drive in bad weather conditions, then you can't drive in good weather conditions. Bad drivers=wreck. I love my 240s especially in the snow. RWD FTW!
its personal preference. i prefer driving rwd in the snow to fwd. it just comes down to the preference of the driver. i wouldnt say any car is "faster" in the snow. people with awd get overconfident and end up getting in accidents. you need to go slow no matter what u haveSpeedy7_7 wrote:240s suck in the snow compared to other cars, you can drive anything in the snow, some slower than others, a 240 is slower in the snow. I agree. I drove my 240 all last winter through every big snow storm from Maine to Massachusetts at 45 mph...240 w/ studded tires owns the snow. I feel like I have more control in the snow in a rear wheel drive.White Comet wrote:its personal preference. i prefer driving rwd in the snow to fwd. it just comes down to the preference of the driver. i wouldnt say any car is "faster" in the snow. people with awd get overconfident and end up getting in accidents. you need to go slow no matter what u have
I agree, I would much rather have a rwd vehicle in the snow, it all comes down to traction though, there are times I wish I had two extra drive wheels to get up nasty hills and stuff. But I have always felt that I have more control in my 240 with good snows than I have ever felt in a DSM, Subaru, or Audi. I don't like the car deciding whether it will over steer or under steer.White Comet wrote:its personal preference. i prefer driving rwd in the snow to fwd. it just comes down to the preference of the driver. i wouldnt say any car is "faster" in the snow. people with awd get overconfident and end up getting in accidents. you need to go slow no matter what u have
yeah its sad, a kid died a few winters ago racing his wrx in the snow against another kid in an evo.SideWays=smiles wrote:I really agree about the over confidence, Ive seen way to many kids end up in accidents because the think the awd/4wd will make their brakes work better.
I will argue with you about this until I die, In snow/gravel/ice/slippery marbles the car does not have a tendency to understeer, I love RWD in most conditions, but I have watched you get stuck in the middle of the road Ian. I am not saying AWD is better because on dry/wet tar it isnt, rwd handles way better on tar, awd handles way better on everything else. FWD will always suckSideWays=smiles wrote:

There are some situations though. I wouldn't trust my wife to drive rwd in the snow, she just doesn't have the control, she needs practice, if I had more moneys, she would rock a rubasu, but for now its just her civic.
You can argue all you want, but you've only eaten half the sandwich, you cant say the turkey half of the sandwich sucks when all you've tasted is the roast beef, eat the whole freakin sandwich, then make your judgment.Speedy7_7 wrote:

Wow, freaking gay...I'm glad I didn't go through insurance. As I had a long talk with ym mechanic buddy (who's gonna help me get everything swapped out) He suggested not to go through insurance, cause not only would I not be able to use the parts I got from all the helpfull fellow Nico members, I would have to wait for 3 months ot get the car even started to get fixed!anotherproject wrote:I to recently injured my 240. No body damage it was all suspension as i kissed a small tree stump. No intentions thinking it wouldnt be totaled I filed a claim with my insurance company. Worse decision I have had in a while. They wanted to total and not give me anywhere near the amount I owe. So I fought for a while and ended up just revoking my claim and buying used parts off of a member on nico and fixing myself for under 800. I feel your pain
