I took my car to my mechanic because the engine would shake at idle and it would stall when I come to a stop. I checked all the vaccume lines and found an intake hose had come lose. This made the car run significantly better, but the engine would still stall when coming to a stop and was still shaky.

The mechanic told me there was a problem with the injectors and said it would cost $220 to fix it.

How do I check which injector is going bad? Is it easy to replace?

easy to diagnose and fix. run the car at idle, pop the hood and diconnect one at a time each injector, when you pull a good injector, the car runs worse..when you pull the bad injector, car runs the same. You found the injector. Do you know if it's running rich or lean?

no clue if its running rich or lean. the car doesn't smoke at all; no black clouds of fuel.

Once I find the bad injector, do I just replace it or can I somehow clean them?

[QUOTE=epoch707]no clue if its running rich or lean. take out the plugs and that should tell you if its running rich or lean.
