I think I made a mistake. I checked the ohms on my injectors and 5 out of the 8 gave me an errant reading, some gave me nothing at all.

I have read up on injectors and think I may have found my mistake. When I checked them I was only using the two prongs on the actual injector to check them with. Is this correct? I read in another post that you have to use the harness as well as the injector for a proper reading.

If that is the case then why on three of them would I get a good reading, ie; 12.2? A fluke?

I hope I did it wrong, cause 5 bad injectors just aint cool, might as well replace all of them.

Also, how do you check the harness for validity??

You are doing it right.... Checking on the actual injector is the way to go..... YOu only use the harness connector if you dont have the plenum off...... But since you have the plenum off thats the best wya....

I have to ask, what kind of multimeter do you have....? I have all perfect injecotors and I got false readings as my battery was low (on the meter)... If you have a cheapo meter like I do the battery must be fresh for accurate readings......

The only reason to check at both would be to make sure the harness is still good.....

Check your meter first.... Goto radioshack and get yourself a good digital one!!!

If your zero reading is correct, the injector wouldn't work at all... how's your idle? Like I said earlier, I can't imagine it would even run on just three cylinders.

The meter is pretty heavy duty, but the batteries are low. I will check them later with some fresh ones as soon as my dad gets home. (it is his meter).

Idle? It doesn't. But before it was shut down in july the idle was all over the place. Started with a MAF problem and then compounded.

Check the injectors at the end of the harnesses and compare the resistances there to the ones you get at the injectors. The difference will be the resistance in the harness itself. Or go from pin to pin on the harness itself.
