Info on wieghts

hey guyz i was surching for some ##'s but couldnt find what i needed if you have any help all will be apricated.

wieghts needed for :

Frount Seats -quater panneles -wheels (stock 15in SE rimz) -rear Axle - Crankshaft (93 SE) -

quarter panels... no idea front seats... about 20lbs eachwheels... 17lbs each rear axle... lol ... we dont have an "axle" if you want driveshaft its fairly heavy. Possibly 40, 50lbs. crankshaft... one heavy mofo, 75lbs maybe?

Instead of an "axle" in the rear we have halfshafts and IRS. These halfshafts shouldnt be tampered with if you plan to lose weight. I'd look else where for weight reduction.

Replace the driveshaft with aluminum, NOT carbon. Carbon will crack if you bump it on anything or give it any sort of side load.

Crankshafts can be knife-edge to lose weight, gain response, quicker revs, and reduce windage. However you lose oiling gained by the crank flinging the oil around.

TBH, its hard to lose weight in a street car without giving up something. Carbon fibre bits are highly flammable when heated, carbon shafts shatter when side loads are applied, etc.

Its the price you pay.

are u sure the rims are 17. cuz i was reading elsewhere an it sayes the "steelies" w/ tier were 40 lb. no it this posed to be that crap u get when u aint got an se? thx man

IRS = Independent Rear Suspension. Steelies with Tires would be around 40lbs, he's talking about alloys.

Yes, stock steelies with tires (well, it dependes on the tire) weighs a little over 40 lbs. I weighed one last week.

I've been driving around without my back seats and no iterior and its a lot louder and it takes longer for it to get warn in the car (its freezing where i live right now)...
