i just started my retro fit.

my plans are to use my qx4 oval projectors in my s14 zenki and put on some super made clear covers. also I'm either going to black out the reflectors in the back or go body color not sure yet (thanks d!ck for reminding me of that) here is my progress so far.

this is what it should look like (just one side) i used a led light so its not very acuarte on the out put

ill keep everyone posted on the out come of this... I'm still waiting on my clear lenses to show up and then i have to get a 9005 HID kit

i did some photoshop work on the black or body color housing for those that wanted to see what it would look like. I'm no photoshop pro but you get the pictureblack

body color white

95% sure I'm going with the black housing white just looks funny

Nice project. I've never seen projectors of that shape before. Should be interesting when you finish.

yeah every thing clears i put the stock lens back on to check it. it has about 3/4- 1 inch of clearance. it was a very easy retro fit. waiting for the oven to heat up took longer than the retrofit did

If they are the same with as the S13 popups, that'd be a cool low profile retrofit, kinda like the clearcorners one.

Nice project.Make sure you paint one housing black and one white so I can see which one I like better since I have a white zenki too.

yeah i bet they would look nice on a s13. these are very easy to find just search for 00-03 infiniti qx4 HID or halogen i checked part numbers at infiniti and they are the exact same on both

yeah i was thinking of painting one black and one white just to see what one i like better. i know the black will be much cheaper to paint than the factory pearl white but i want it to look good so that doesn't matter to much to me

Where'd ya get'em and for how much? I just might try these for my sleepy eyes. Sleepy eyes for low beam, fully open for high beam. Somethin like that.

eBay $75 to my door from this seller gregory_cheban they had a good amount of HID/projector stuff last i looked. i think they got to me in 4 days. i couldn't pass that deal up.

i might start doing retrofit for other people if i get enough interest in it. i have all the tools to do it right and i have a hook up on clear covers from super made.

doesn't have to be HID though right. Any 9005 would work. Then again, I could probably use a dual beam bulb.

correct it does not have to be HID. these came out of a non HID vehicle and i took them to infiniti and had them check to see if they were different part numbers and they are the exact same as the HID number

working on them now! a fellow NICO member screwed me over and i had to wait to find some new headlights and the clear covers... so now i have both and the only thing left to do is mount the projector and make sure it is aimed properly and get some new HID for it.

i got a lot of projects going all at once. headlights, brakes, body parts, and KA-T build and I'm always searching for some new cool thing to do or buy for the car

Go with the normal chrome/polished/whatever finish for the housing.
