Another DSM owner here who'd like to apologize. Every group has there idiots. I'll be honest and say I know nothing about your cars, and I don't plan to own one.....but I'm looking forward to learning about them. I've heard good things about the sr20 motors. I'm a member of many boards, including DSM's, Civics, Supras, Corvette's, Mustangs, F-bodies....etc, and every group has their people who seem to thing their cars are superior in every aspect.

*side note: Crankwalk in DSM's is one of the most overhyped car problems I've ever heard. Sure it happens more than it should, but just because you buy a DSM w/ a 7 bolt motor doesn't mean you should be expecting it. Only a small percentage actually experience it. My 97 GST has 104,xxx miles, and it's still going strong. The only thing I've had to replace due to failure was the clutch.

Good luck w/ your cars. I won't be posting much here, but I'll be reading and learning. Thanks for the space.

djpast and josh4g63. I would just like to say that tho some pretty harsh things were said about DSMs in that thread, I dont think any of us hate on DSMs or their owners that much. Take what was said lightly, as we were just using his obvious insecurity about his own car against him. Shows some good will of you guys to stop over and appologize for that guy.

Hey man, no big deal. Heck even though I was bashing the things I love them. I almost got one before I got sucked into the Nissan subculture :)

I've got a few freinds who have some pretty tunned cars that I've got mad respect for.

Hope you guys stick around and chat turbo theory with us

There's no harm done at all, I've met 240 drivers that are worse than that guy. Every group has their ****heads. And I almost bought first gen DSM until I found my 240. I really like the way almost all of the DSMs look, aslong as their main mods aren't a giant wing and altezzas. :)

hey djpast...I've never seen you around on dsmtuners.com nor dsmtalk.........I'd post over dsmtuners, but I never got no help with my car. i've spent $1091 in repairs to my car and still dont have the thing paid off. Mine is a 1st gen dsm, but I hate fixing the thing. Thats why I'm trying to sell it or do something with it b/c I'm tired of fixing it lol

But all I know test drove a 93 240sx se and I"m in love with how well it handles and drives way much better than mine. :)

One of my friends bought a GSX in 95 when they first came out, and took the thing straight to HKS for all the parts. That was the first AWD turbo charged car that I ever got to drive, and I have to admit it was damn fun. After every electrical issue that I had to deal with on my old Starion, I'll never own another Mitsubishi.

To me, DSM owners are in the same boat as Mustang and Camero owners.Yeah, there's alot of cool guys, but the majority of them are too full of their pride. There are way too many idiots with rusted Laser's that try to put themselves in the high end Mistubishi class by hiding behind the 3 letters "DSM".DSM owners are just as bad as the guys at the Honda camp that sit and preach about V-TEC.Sometimes I think V-TEC, DSM, and muscle owners have nothing better to do than troll forums and start fights about how they own the world.

Yeah.. and the 240sx crowd doesn't sit around and preach from the SR20DET soapbox!! :rolleyes Please....

Everybody has a tendency to take pride in their car or brand of car, and grasp on to the bragging rights of that particular make. We wave it around like a flag for all to see how cool WE are. It's just natural... and as lame and annoying as it gets... every group does it. I'm sure the Honda guys are sick of the 240s cluttering their magazines with all this SR talk.

We have every right to! It isnt like the SR is the most over-rated motor around right now. Afterall they mentioned the SR by name in Fast & Furious. That makes us cool!

*note to the easily angered* this post is ment to be sarcastic. I own and love an SR. However it isnt the greatest motor on the planet.

i own and love my 4g63, but unfortunatly i only have the SOHC head and that doesent make for too much fun.

I used to visit DSMtalk.com a bit so ya may recognize me from there too.

Every community has its winners and losers, you represent the better half of the DSM community :)
