I'm sure this sounds bad but i like vehicles that are different. I have 3 old 60's chevy trucks and a vg30et and transmission and whatever else stuff. Although its only a movie i did like seeing the real clips of the mustang in fast and the furious tokyo that had a rb under the hood. I would like to have my chevy truck with my vg setup I just could use some helpful advice and websites for stuff like motor mounts and whatever else might work.

lol, there is at least one 60's model stang runnign aroudn with an RB thats not form the movie ( I never did see that but it was hard to miss) as for putting the VG in your tuck, I' guessing we're talking C10? should be plenty of room to fit it in there, as for fabbing mounts I suspect you can take your sbc mounts fab a simple adapter plate to fit the VG, the only issue is the turbo used stagared mounts, if you used satans manifold to move the turbo up I think it would place the engine too far forward, the drivers side mount I'dthing would be in the right area but the extra bulk of the SBC moutn I suspect woudl interfere with the stock turbo location so I'd suggest satans manifold or custome and most likely you'll be fabbing some mount plates anyhow

Hey man, I have a 62 C10 I am doing a frame off resto on, and do not give a hoot about numbers matching or parking lot queens.

I plan on using T-Bird/lincoln Rear suspension. It is a fully independant rear suspension and these cars can be had for a couple hundred bucks.Contact these guys for the adaptor plates.http://team321.com/truckirs/truckirs.html

As far as engine goes, I have not figured out what I want. Body work is complete and perfect. Traded a S10 V8 swap for the body work and paint job.

I am thinking of the following for engine.

1UZFE Lexus V8 goggle this engine they sound like they would be a lot of fun. They can be had for around 400 bucks. The trans does not take a slip yoke for a driveshaft so you have to run IRS.

I have several 350's in the shop from my stock car days, but that would be what every other guy has in there c10.

I never thought about a VG30!I have 2 of these sitting here. That would be sweet, but it would have to have some bite to pull it off. It would be a turd in the truck unless you had lots of boost on it.

Thanks for website! That's a pretty awesome set up. I figured I would have to put some serious bang into the vg but i also planned on putting the c10 on a serious diet. I intended on having a lot of the truck replaced with fiberglass an dropping unnecessary crap out of the truck so i could at least have less strain on my vg and then modifying the transmission to really pick up the slack. But any advice you have on making my vg better equipped would be awesome. I also would like to know what can be done to the differential so that its better at drifting.

Lots of options for diffs, even if you stick with just Nissan OEM diffs. Z, Skyline, Infiniti J and Q, and many more Nissans all came with VLSDs with various gearing options. The Z and Skyline had a nice short 4.08 gear ratio available. J was 3.9. Q was 3.538. Lots of options. Housings and flanges/bolt patterns vary, but as you're looking at a pretty custom job already that shouldn't pose much of a problem.

Plenty of aftermarket options, too, if you want something more hardcore than just viscous LSD.

Some torque multiplication might be nice with the VG in the pickup.

If you are using the http://team321.com/truckirs/truckirs.htmlIRS kit, there are plenty of options as you will use the very popular 7.5 or 8.8 Ford Differential. (This is what the T-bird/Lincoln rear has)You can buy a Ford Racing limited slip diff for as cheap as 225 bucks at summit.

If you want to use Nissan stuff, more power to you, I'd love to see what you come up with. A Torch, a welder, and several beers can make for great engineering.
