ignitor getting super hot

Today I finally got to work on my project that has been sitting incomplete for a few months. It was having some issues with no spark/ no fuel. I went through the wiring and got fed up, so I used a newer less hacked harness then what came with the engine/trans set. I got it all wired up, and now the injectors, and fuel pump are working when I turn the CAS by hand. The one thing that I still don't have is spark. i did notice that the ignitor is getting SUPER HOT! I burned the **** out of my hand! Where should I start?

start by checking the wiring and current on the ignitor chip... heat and electronics do not go together.
