nah it should be fine.The green/black wire is the negative which you don't touch. The red/black is the positive so your just rewiring that one.

My coil gets power from the fuel pump relay. Works fine for me.

People still do this?

The coils get full voltage during starting, but slightly less when running to make it last longer.

I guess you guys have cheap sources for coils.
