We are having issues with the key working in the ignition lock. It wont turn unless you play with it for a while. It is getting worse and I'm concerned with getting stuck somewhere. I have already tried lock lube and nothing changed. A quick google search comes up empty for a replacement, even from the dealer.

Suggestions?

According to InfinitiPartsDeal the ignition cylinder assembly is still available, p/n 48700-6J385. Comes with a new key, switch and screws, but it's $575 even from IPD, list is $788. Might want to see if a smithy can rework it for you.

I had the same problem and sprayed the key with a little wd-40 and it did the trick

I found a wrecking yard that has an ignition switch with 2 keys and 2 fobs.
Is the Ignition Immobilizer Module programed to the keys?
Can I simply install the new ignition switch w/ it's Ignition Immobilizer Module, without having to go to the dealer to have the new keys/ignition switch programed to my vehicle?

I currently only have one key for my failing ignition switch.

The keys won't match anymore so you'll need to program the JY ones. I'd suggest swapping your existing IMMU off the old cylinder and onto the JY unit, that way you can start the car by holding your old key up to the cylinder while turning it with a blank copy of a JY key. That will let you drive the car to a smithy or dealership and save yourself some bucks for a mobile visit.

PS - You want to use a blank steel trace from the hardware store, because having two RFID keys next to the IMMU at once is likely to confuse it and cause a security light.

So to be clear. I need to have a new key cut for the new ignition switch. Switch the old Ignition Immobilizer Module to the new ignition switch. Have the old key on my key ring when starting the vehicle until I can make an appointment to see the dealer to re-program the new key and keys that came with the new lock.

Yep. The blank key can be any $3 steel thing from a hardware store, just nothing with smartwork. Having the old one on your ring may not bring the chip close enough, you may need to physically hold it to the IMMU rather than letting it dangle. That depends on the range of the particular IMMU and the strength of the particular key, both can vary.
