good coils and no spark can equal your ICM (ignition control module) or your ignition relay.
they can both be tested with a multimeter but one is much cheaper than the other! lets start with the relay!
ignition/main relay: look by your battery for 2 or 3 little boxes, your aiming for one that has 4 prongs when detached from the harness (its usually blue), it is the same as your heater relay located above the fuse box closest to the door on the drivers side, if your heater works and you don't know how to test one then just swap them and see if either your heater stops working or if your truck starts!
OEM# 2523089975 replaced by OEM# 2523089977 or part#'s RY39, 19936, 203-0004, 203-0089 12.00 - 38.00 depending upon store
can be found on various isuzu, subaru and nissan vehicles from 80-90
ignition module ICM: it is located inside your distributor, depending upon year and motor it can have 3 to 5 wires connected to it. its the black stationary piece, can only be removed once you take cap & rotor off and extract the reluctor (shaped like a fat ninja star) and two screws. prices vary from 43.00 to 400.00 depending upon how many connectors are required and the store. interchanges with some years of stanza and 200sx, seems cheaper to purchase whole new dizzy with module included?!?
some part numbers (standard motor products) 5 wire: lx556 4 wire: lx555 3 wire: lx514
I have one on order they say does not fit but fits the interchanges for the right one? I will post back if it works as it is wayyy cheaper
