Why not fix it or get an estimate at the least?

Hope you are OK.

Did you have collision insurance? If so, and nobody was hurt, this may have solved your problems, unless its determined it was your fault and you lose your license or your insurance goes sky high.

See if you can do some of the work your self such as the fenders and hood because that's easy instead of paying those guys to do it.

But give us some pics and i will let you know how bad it is, Also is there any frame damage?

Honestly I know I could repair the whole car my self its all easy with an FSM, Because the lights and bumper aren't hell but the radiator mounts are tough.

Tough break kid,

This is indeed a tough life lesson, I know the other guys in one of your numerous threads will break your stones over this. The truth is we were all young and stupid once, and have all learned from our mistakes. You need to take something from this, you got out lucky no one was hurt although you may indeed be cited for an at fault accident or failure to maintain control of your vehicle. I am not one to say anything although I never wrecked a car, I lost my license <6 months after getting it for the end of my senior year of HS.

Most insurance companies total at 70-75% of the assessed value in damage since the value of an old J is mostly sentimental you will more likely than not end up loosing your J. If there is any frame damage I can almost guarantee that alone should condemn the car.

Good Luck.

That really does suck about busting it up. All your plans and whatnot...

Anyway, how's your passenger side floormat look? Mine wasn't there when I bought the car. I also need a passenger side turn signal (or just the lense if it's removeable), so anyone who has one of those...get ahold of me. And if you have that center piece that goes around the shifter in like, perfect shape, I'll take that too probably.

Damn...I go on hiatus & this happens...

That sucks!!!!!! But I'm glad you're ok.

I suggest that your next car should be FWD until you learn how to control that right foot of yours & learn how to steer skillfully. I've driven 2 other cars that were RWD & they were a bit much even for me.

Get a G20 or an I30, then go back to the J. I think both of those are FWD & have some awesome safety features.

Plus they are easier to mod.
