idle problems?

i dont remember posting this but i think i did, i looked but didnt see it so anyways. When i start my car no mattre if its cold or warm the idle will slowly raise to 2k rpm, sit there for a few seconds than slowly go back down to normal. And i have to wait for it to go back down because if i shift into drive when its at 2k rpm then it jerks really hard so just wondering i think i heard somewhere, the iacv may be bad. What you guys think?

Try cleaning the IAC first before replacing. There's a writeup in the How-to at the top of the forum.
