Idle problem in 01 G20

Hey guys,My brother is having a problem with his 01 G20.

So far we have replaced the distributor, cap, rotor, and the fuel filter.

The car starts up great, but the idle is where we are having problems. The rpms like to drop super low, and then once and a while when this happens it shuts off. Does anyone have any idea as to what this could be?

Any SES/CEL engine codes?

MAF or evap canister would be my guesses.

the CEL light is not on, but i have not had a chance to run for codes yet.
