I bought a motorset from a guy that was going to go standalone so I don't have the IAV assembly. If anyone went standalone or has one of these laying around I'd like to take it off your hands. This is probably the last thing I need to get before I drop the motor. I was going to get one from float6969 but I really need to get this part ASAP.

how was he planning on controlling the idle, period? by the throttle cable? I am stand alone and the valve just isnt wired but i still use the screw to adjust the idle.

Sorry i dont have one for sale i was just wondering. The vlave is big and ugly and i want to get rid of it.

I'm not absolutely sure, he didn't go into it. However, I was under the assumption that the SDS system replaces a lot of factory sensors and makes it unneccessary to have the whole idle assembly. I'm poor so for the time being I'll stick with the factory sensors and systems.

Boost_boy: if you email me at [email protected] I'll send you money via either paypal, MO or whatever means you require. I'd PM you but I don't have sufficient rights on these forums.

i dont have any of the idle air or FCID assembly, i made a block off plate my idle is rock solid at 1100rpm. never dies or drops too low even comming outa boost. i just set the idle using the throttle plate set screw.

thats what the guy gave me, a plate to block off those two holes in the plenum. If it's not necessary I can just go ahead and drop in the engine. I would still like to buy an assembly though regardless of whether or not I need it at this point. Eventually I might install A/C (I live in Las Vegas) and I will probably need the AAC valve to compensate for the compressor. I'm unsure on all this but until someone tells me otherwise it's all I have to go on.

OK, i just wasnt sure how reliable this was. Can you get the idle lower than 1100? That is kind of high for me and wont pass emissions either.

Sorry for jacking the thread, sounds like Dee can hook you up.

I'm sorry about that man. I just HAVE NOT had the time to go over there and look for it. Lemme know if you get one from someone else.
