1999 I-30

In OHM testing the IACV, following FSM section EC page 374, the current OHM readings are 40 as opposed to FSM spec at 30. I tested the good working 95 Maxima to get a baseline. The 95 Maxima readings are 29.8 to 30.

Just to verify, will a failing IACV have a higher OHM reading like 40?

I picked up another IACV from a 99 Maxima (pick-n-pull) along with the ECM and TCM to have as a spare. Both IACV units from the 99 models read 40 OHMs.

That is much higher than spec. The IACV response may be delayed or even erratic as commanded by ECU. Remember, the IACV is a stepper-motor driven valve with driver (power transistor) inside ECU. I've had a P1400 before (EGRC Solenoid Valve) causing rough starting. Spec for the solenoid is 30 ohms but my EGRC-SV has 32.5 ohms (2.5 ohms difference). I replaced it with an OEM part and the rough starting went away.
