I have a 2003 Infinit I35. My driver and passenger windows descend (sometimes a 1/4 or sometimes ALL the way) when my vehicle is turned off. I have witnessed it myself when sitting in my car. Here is what happens:

- I hear a click under the dashboard area, the windows go down, and the car doors lock.
- Now if it happens when I am NOT in the vehicle and I stick my hand in the window to manually unlock the door, the alarm starts going off.

I googled the problem and saw some common problems and people were saying it could be the key remote. Well PERFECT because mine wasn't working. I changed the battery and it STILL didn't work.

I had a Viper automatic starter waiting to be put on my car so I figured I would have it installed in hopes that getting a "new" key remote would solve the problem since my Infiniti one didn't work anymore. Nope, didn't help.

I have been to my mechanic and even Infiniti and no one could help me. Infiniti couldn't pinpoint the problem (since, ironically, the windows didn't go down the 4 days the car was there) so it would cost me thousands to start fixing things that may not even be the problem. Grrrrrr. It's winter and I live in Chicago... I need for my windows to stay up!!

Ideas?

Try resetting the window limiter switch. See BT-22 for instructions. It looks like you'll need to remove the driver's door panel to access it.
