I have a 2000 I30, CEL is on and it says P0505. If don't push the gas pedal for a few seconds when I'm starting the car for the first time in the day, rev counter immediately goes down and the engine stops. If the weather is OK just a few seconds is enough for the engine to start properly and it won't stop that day if I don't leave it to cool. I tried to leave the car in idle for an hour and it didn't stop. If the weather if cold I just need to push the gas a little bit more and that's it. What are you guys thinking about this? What parts I need to control or change and how I am gonna do it. Thanks in advance

Problem may be with the IACV. It may need cleaning or replacement. This must be addressed immediately. A shorted IACV stepper motor coil can fry the ECU (IACV stepper motor amplifier inside the ECU). This will be more expensive to repair.

Refer to the link below, starting on page EC-429:

I added the link. Check stepper motor coil resistance. IIRC, it should be 30 ohms. If shorted, you may be out of luck.
