Sunday night I went to guitar center and picked one of these up.

http://www.guitarcenter.com/Pe...21.gc

Squeaky clean channel, down and dirty distortion and loud as balls.

My only couple issues are:

When the reverb is turned past 3/4 it makes an odd whistling sound. While it is fairly high gain, it doesnt quite get up there enough for super heavy metal sounds. I see a tube screamer in my future. The knob that switches to class A to A/B doesnt sound like it does a lot, maybe I havent played on it enough.

All in all, its great for pretty much anything but the most extreme of metal.

Lucky me.

Very nice. I haven't been amp testing in way too long.I have a Peavey XXX 2x12 combo which is 3 years old and needs new tubes. It doesn't have the low end it used to

And the whistle/ hum is "normal" for amps with spring reverb. My old fender frontman did that as well.

Looks good! Congrats on your purchase. If you're anything like me you will be playing twice as much as you used to now.
