i think i found out why my car wont idle.

ok heres the deal when i have the maf pluged up it idles funky, and when i unplug it i idles like a champ, the setting on the safc are 4 in 4 out with a ****ty idle, when i try 5 in 6 out it idles great but wont go past 3 grand, whats goin on? Do i need a anothe maf?

What kind of setup do you have? what kind of maf and what injectors?

If you have stock injectors, I would recomend you to uninstall the safcii and hook up the ca18det maf or a ka24E in their to to verify the functionalilty of the engine.Not reving past 3k rpm, usually a sign of a faulty maf or bad wiring for the maf. I would go over the install of the safc and make sure both the wiring and the setting are done correctly. I don't have much experience with the safcII but hopefully some one here might be able to tell you what kind of setting it should be set at.
