So my SR has developed an interesting noise. Doesn't do it at idle at all only when you get into the throttle.

Here's a vid of what it sounds like. No, it's not my car, it's not a Nissan, but it sounds exactly like mine.

I'll try to get a vid of mine up at some point too. Any thoughts as to what's causing this?

Come on guys, surely one of you has heard this noise before. I really am lost as to what could be causing this and I'm in no way shape or form comfortable with the way my engine sounds right now.

im not an online mechanic, but it sounds like a broken hydraulic lifer. when the hydraulic shifters break, you hear the lifter bottom out b/c the internals don't work.

Could it be low oil pressure? If so how do I check for that? I don't have a gauge.

Update: I pulled the valve cover and everything is well coated in oil.

Ok finally got outside to record what the engine sounds like. So far what I've seen is a post-cat exhaust leak, a vacuum leak of some sort that I can't find, and it started smoking around the turbo.
