I picked up this M56 sport pretty cheap info needed

I saw that motor too and sent them an email. They said it was JDM spec but the motor doesn't even look like it would fit. And to the best of my knowledge the 5.6 wasn't offered in Japan, so what car did this come out of? Something off about this posting - even the name is spelled wrong.

Yeah, I noticed that too. That's why I mentioned that the intakes would need swapping. While looking at their fleabay listings of all Infiniti 5.6 engines, it appears they are the same identical photo regardless of the model Infiniti it listed for. So maybe it's legit and they do have a specific 5.6 for a M56.

Bad deal sold my clean title M56X with 148k for 3500 that basically need a whole need engine from the HPFP guy still hasn’t fixed it to this day been a year just insure it and burn it and grab a nice running one save yourself a headache

Good luck insuring a non-running car with sketchy odometer and a salvage title.

Insurance company will tell him to EAD and he'll be on the hook for arson.

It’s a joke take it easy but I’ll say I had a 07 M35 that was swapped into a 08 M45X was bottomed out totaled out had a rebuilt title miles wasn’t what it was on the chassis and still got paid more than what I paid for it unfortunately it was a one 1 and 1 car

I suppose there are some clueless insurance companies out there, but I wouldn't count on that happening in this guy's case.

Sometimes, you have to just accept (like the OP did) that you're in a jam (of your own making), and make the best of it.

If you really want to be a hero, find a way to shoehorn a Titan VK in there and document it for other people. Lotta people love those cars and are in the exact same boat, no way to fix them.

The easier approach would be to put the 3.7 motor in, which you can find easily and is actually made to fit in the chassis. Plenty of those motors around for much cheaper than the 5.6.

I have a Q60 red sport now so I'm good and just looking to unload the M56 when the time is right.
