Man somebody please help me. Ok heres the story. I bought a 86 300zx (t) and it didnt have a battery so i couldnt start it. So i got a battery and the windows or none of the lights (headlights, side markers, interior, or taillights) work and the headlights would flip up and down continuly when I tried the headlight switch. So I found some bad fuses and replaced them. So I put the battery in the car and the battery voltage instantly drained. I mean I watched the voltage go from 12.4 volts to 6.5 volt in a matter of seconds. I cant figure out where to even start to look. Please somebody tell me what to do. Any and all help will do. Thanx

Disconnect everything you can think of, using the fuses. Start putting them back in untill you find out what is causing the drain. I would think that something draining the battery that fast would cause a fire or lots of smoke. Make sure It's not the battery! Check the grounds.

Back to basics.

this is a NEW battery? if it's draining that fast you gotta have an obvious drain ont he system but I'd suspect a bad battery to drain that fast

I did that. I removed all the fuses, fusible links, and relays. One by one I replaced them and nothing happened until got to rear taillight fuse and it instantly drained the battery. So I left that one out and continued. No fuse or relay drained the battery. I then turned on the ignition switch and everything went dead.

well, looks liek the codes have a few issues for you to address

the battery grund wire hooks to the firwall and then to the engine/trans

there is a groudn near the drivers head light

and one in the hatch near the passanger tail light

I'm sure there are more but those come to mind
