I NEED SOME HELP 98 200sx se

alright bought my 200sx bout a month ago and i started working on it today it needed a trans mount so i went and got one and put it on and i thought it needed a rear mount but it just needed the bolts that go into the block so i ordered those from nissan

But i was under there and i noticed the shift linkage has been extended (very crappily might i add) and the shifter has been cut hella bad. So i went and bought a arospeed shifter (on sale at the local performance shop) but i cant find the linkage anywhere in town. What will this extended linkage affect it looks like its been extended 1.5-2 inches unless the broke it and welded this piece in palce of a part they cut out. How long is it supposed to be anyone know and will it be ok if i leave it alone? The welding looks alright its just looks wield cause it isnt tubing like the rest of the linkage its like a little metal stcik anyway all help is aprreciated thanx.

You're probably going to need to order the linkage from Nissan. Try one of the parts dealers that's a sponsor here for a better price.

I haven't the faintest clue why the previous owner did such a thing.
