I'm fairly new to NicoClub so first off, I apologize if this is in the wrong section...

Anyways, I have Megan Racing Type 2 Exhaust that I've had for a couple months now, and just yesterday I installed my brand new Megan Racing Street Coilovers. My exhaust, that I had professionally installed, sits about 2 inches LOWER than my frame? When I was on stock struts and springs, I never noticed it because clearance wasn't an issue... Now I'm completely slammed and my exhaust sits about 3cm off the ground. I scrape EVERYTHING! Any ideas on how to fix this? Other than raising my ride height? I love how my car sits right now and I'm very against raising it...

Also, is there another type of exhaust that is maybe oval shaped? Or something that has a lot of ground clearance?

Also, I'm contacting Megan Racing for the exhaust because I just noticed the welds for my hanger above my muffler are completely broken in clean line. At first I thought that might be the reason why it hangs so low, but it's the entire piping all the way to the downpipe, which also scrapes.

 he meant the hangers on your chassis. not your exhaust.

can you cut and weld? i ran into the same issue on my buddies car. we ended up taking about 2" out of the vertical drop on the down pipe, but we had to put some length back into the cat-delete pipe to get it to mate with the exhaust. now the exhaust is tucked up and even with the frame rails. he still scrapes pretty bad under the rear sub-frame though.

Yeah my car is very low, frame is like 2 or 3 inches from the ground, and it's my daily... I parked on my driveway which is a little slant and my downpipe and exhaust flanges rest on the ground. I just want to find a way to have my exhaust piping flush, or at least close to level with my frame...

Well it sounds like your to low, Cut the hangers and make them shorter or raise the car up or just stop bitchin and live with it... There's a thing as being low and then being slammed, my car is low and i still scrape a pretty good bit after cutting the hangers and welding them higher. If your frame rails are that low, your pretty much just going to be scraping everywhere anyways. sorry but that's one of the prices of being low.

Why slam a DD then expect to be able to DD it? i DD my car and like i said its low, but i can still get into parking lots with it. raise it up a bit and you'll be fine.

you could have gone to an exhaust shop and gotten a custom exhaust for cheap and had it done how you want it. Its not hard for them to tuck some pipe up in there. ...and not scrape, even lowered. Hell I scrape my facia. More than my exhaust.

I think I'm gonna find a decent muffler shop and have a custom 3" exhaust made, and also raise my car up just a little. I love how my car sits right now, but I guess up a little couldn't hurt and it'd be more practical.

That's how it sits right now.

I'll post up more pics of the hood later on today after I get out of school ;) I'm hoping the guys over at Megan Racing are cool and will send me a brand new system.

And if you're interested in the hood, it cools down my engine almost 10 degrees. And I cut a vent that bends over the air filter but still covers it.

Here's the hood. We basically drew up a quick design, measured everything out to make sure it's even, and cut it. Then bent up the flaps and they just stay like that :) Looks pretty unique; I got bored with the OEM hood look.
