Ok guys...I decided (as hard as it was) to drive my car completley normal for 1 full tank of gas (premium = 91) ALL city driving btw.

I got 302kms?

So based on my mods I have (in my sig) is it affecting the consumption that much??

What can I do??

Oh and before someone asks...I have no idea what the mileage was before I modded.

Thanks!!

Wow...thats pretty low. I get 350 miles per tank, and I only fill 17-18 gallons...even though the low fuel light is on.

I usually get around 300 miles plus on a full tank. My heavy foot cuts that number down, but if I wanted a car to get great gas mileage I would have bought a Honda Civic. IMO the mods you have made should be getting better mileage...I gained about 30 more miles per fill up with the mods....that makes me very happy!!

Check to make sure your JWT popcharger's air filter is clean.

What was your actual mpg. You say you used 302, but how much did it take to fill the tank back up? I normally see around 280-300 around the city and normally equates to around 18-20mpg. Considering the rated mpg on the G is right around there, I can't see any complaint. On the highway, the best I have got was around 26-27, which again is right where the car is rated.

Could be your O2 sensor or maybe your lead foot!!

With an 05 you should not need spark plugs yet. What does 302 kms equal into miles? 188 miles....are you sure someone is not stealing your gas at night??? That's crazy.

Is this right 1 kilometers = 0.621371192 miles?

According to Infiniti...I am supposed to get 100km's per 12.8 litres of gas.

The tank holds 76 litres or 20.8 gallons

I filled it right to the brim, reset my trip odometer, by the time it got to just below the empty I had gone 302km's or 187.65miles on a full frickn tank!!

By my math...it's wayyy off in usage

Like I said...I drove like a normal person...it was all city driving so there was no lead foot at all.

So..it might be my 02 Sensor??

Anyone know if thet's mucho $$$ to fix?

An O2 would throw a code. You sure it's in kilometers? I know it sounds like a dumb question, but that would make a whole lot more sense.

Ok...I will double check that...if it's in Miles I will officially hand in my car with the keys because I would be a complete knob and don't deserve this car

I am getting about 250 miles per take with my injen intake and custom exhaust. But I know the reason for my poor gas mileage is I cruse at about 80 miles an hour and I climb a hill on my way home so I know that is hurting my mileage.

When I had a problem with my air sensors I was getting about 200 miles per take. My car would run okay unless I gave it gas at around 5,000 rpms then it would feel like it was flooding. That was covered under my warranty, and would have cost me about $600. If you have a problem with it and you have an intake system they may void the warrenty.

Just a thought...

If its that bad, then I would suspect a clogged catalytic converter. You're in Canada right? I'm not sure of the quality of gas used...is leaded gas available?? If lead gas was used in a car with a cat, then that would cause a severe drop in MPG...

Do an emissions test.

I'm assuming you did the intake DIY. Were you really careful with the MAF? You might want to try cleaning it with some non residue cleaner. How often do you clean your filter and oil. You might have used too much oil on the filter and the sensor has some build up. Might be worth a shot. That is horrific gas mileage. I'm assuming that was in kilometers right???

Another thought...

When I did my spacer install, I had the oil fill rubber piece pinched between the plenum cover and the spacer...Check yours!

Yes, if you are only getting 187miles on a 15-17 gallons, that is WAY off. Have you tried resetting the ECU and drive it for a couple days and see what happens.

The dealer is one thing...but what about the other checks? A pinched rubber oil fill in the plenum, or an emissions test?

Don't know if you've done it yet G,but I'd check the TSB's and see,I know some folks were having problems with incorrect fuel tank readings with the sensor. Otherwise i'd just reset the ecu and hope for the best. You know when you go in to get it looked at they will just laugh at you at an infiniti dealership. I'd look for just a regular old joe place that can scan the ecu and see what everything is running at. Goodluck with that.I was going to say even with my heavy foot it's not that bad at all. I only have two things done, but still I drive the g like I'm qualifying...for a ticket lol.
