I need help on dimmer wire !!!

Can I connect orange/white wire from HU to solid orange from Metra harness ?

I think so... when I first installed my headunit, I connected the orange/white wire from the headunit directly to the dimmer wire in the factory wiring harness...

but the second time, I believe I just connected it to the orange wire in the metra harness and it worked out fine..
