what is the importance of the dropping resistor?

dropping resistor raises the resistance of the injectors which are low impedence to high impedence so that t he ECU doesn't fry trying to drive them. the CA uses low impdence injectors despite the ECU hardware being built for high impedence, so it has a dropping resistor for the injectors.
