Quick question, is the carpet for a s13 hatchback the same as the carpet for an s13 coupe?

Replacing my carpet when I get home and wanted to order some new, but a lot of sites keep listing the carpet as for "HICAS model only" which only came in hb's right?
So I wanted to make sure this carpet would work either way.

Thx =)

I need to fix my ignition wiring on the harness. So, when removing the engine harness, should I just go ahead and cut those ziptie thingys that hold the harness to the chassis? Don't wanna do anything I'm not suppose to. Thanks

Just cut em and be sure not to cut any wires is all... when you put it back in, fasten it however you like. If you want to save the old mounting, then get a fork or something and pop them out of the chassis.

Well, I'm sure some portion of it will be different (specifically, the trunk area), but the passenger cabin from the back seat forward should be the same.

How do you adjust front camber on Stance GR+? Is it just you loosen these 4 screws and that's it? or do I have to do something with the big one in the middle? Also can I adjust the camber while it is on my car? (Ex: jack it up then loosen those screws then move them?) Thanks.

^While I've never done it... yes, that should be what you have to do. Loosen the 4 bolts up, and slide that inward or outward from the center of the car. You shouldn't have to loosen the big nut in the middle.

should gasket sealer be used on all new gaskets? i bought a full engine gasket set for the sr, i done a quick search on nico and google, most specify oil pan, valve cover, head gasket, is there certain gaskets that need the sealer or is sealing all them a good idea? thanks

Head gaskets - No.
Water pump, oil pan, timing covers, etc require no gasket per se, just rtv silicone (gasket maker)

I searched for this and got an answer. So I'm just wondering, if an s13 ka24de were to be swapped into an s14 that's OBDI, are you able to just swap the distributor and mass air flow sensor from the s14 ka to the s13 one and just use the s14 harness?

Ive looked at numerous pictures of s14 center consoles, and cant figure out what the two rectangular holes (the ones with the fill in pieces) next to the mirror adjustments are for. Obviously they are for something but I am flabbergasted. first person to halp gets a 15 cool point bonus!

reasons for this question are important and will be revealed when im done doing what im doing :)

i've only ever seen little quarter holders there... they look like switch covers that were designed to anticipate the possibility of a new feature that just never happened.

Quick question, My KA S14 needs a new Rad, but im planning on doing an SR swap in the future. Does any company make a Rad that I can buy now for my KA and use later with my SR?

I can't really remember what the exact difference was between the 2, I thought it was just the location of the upper radiator hose port. If that's the case, you could probably just get creative with your upper radiator hose when the time comes to swap. You'll probably have to look at a bunch of radiator hoses for different applications til you find a match though.

KA radiators usually turn out pretty ugly on SRs. You'll need a super long hose for the SR with the KA radiator.. If you're going to swap, you could always get the SR radiator, and run the long ugly hose on the KA. ;)

Hey guys, I'm new here (as you can tell)

Just got a 1996 240sx about a month ago

What I want to know is...

1.Where I can get some JDM headlights

2.If there is a nismo body kit for this year

Everything I find is for the 97-98

A different bracket is needed. My friend, Cypher02XD, ran into the same problem and his car is now non-hicas...

The KA pump would work with a different bracket, in theory. If the KA pump powered it before then it will now, you just have to figure out how to get it to work.

ok guys, i have some powered by max racing coilovers in the shopping cart and ready to go. i have found NO decent info on them specifically, but from what i hear, they are the best for slamming an S13. and have fairly agressive stiffness.I ONLY WANT YOU TO SAY SOMETHING IF YOU KNOW SOMETHING

I just installed my front coilovers. I test drove them down the street and heard a loud clunking noise coming from both sides. I re-tightened the lugs but I still have the noise coming from my drivers side.

note these are brand new PBM coilovers. Is there any advice on something that I can try and do to get rid of the noise. Ive searched a few places that offer some solutions, but in each of those cases, the coilovers were used. Should I have used lube somewhere or replaced the tension rod also, or is my problem simply that I need an alignment?

Thanks in advance.

I'd jack the car up and try and wiggle/move the wheel assembly... rock it back and forth in both verticle and horizontal directions. Does it otherwise drive OK other than the noise?

Yeah, it drives fine. I just jacked it up... it looks like the wheel is rubbing the bottom of the coilovers by the spring. Would negative camber fix the problem or is it more complex?

Edit: rubbing was the problem. I have 2 3mm spacers on now until monday when Ill get 5 mm to be safer. Thanks for the input
