yeah... redtop answered you
redtop91 wrote:IIRC using the Stock BMC with the Z32 fronts is what upsets the bias. The use of the Z32 BMC will correct it...

The way OE proportioning valves work is that the front and rear line pressures go up by the same amount until the pressure reaches the so-called "split point". At this point, the rear pressure increases at a lower rate than the front pressure (with the proportionality factor given by the reducing ratio).

Now the reducing ratio for the Z32 and 240sx MC's are the same (0.4), so the only difference is the split point. The Z32's split point is lower than the 240sx, so above the split point, the Z32's rear line pressure will always be lower than that of the 240sx.

Unless you have a car lift you can't take the motor out without a cherrypicker.

without a cherry picker? yikes, thats gonna be a tuff one, not to mention, somewhat unsafe... I remember seeing some video of some guy trying it using a tree, piñata style... needless to say, it was comedy.I say, just rent a cherry picker, it'll be 10x easier than the tree method or the garage roof method... maybe trying a tow truck? Its not cheaper than a cherry picker, but it will get the job done

My 240 coupe has working Hud, though it only works after im driving for about 10-15 mins. Are the rest of the gauges on my dash supposed to light up? In the night all i c is the speedo. If so does the dashboard light also work along with the parking lights, because mine are not working right now and i checked the fuses, One has blew but i dont think it was the one for parking lights.

First change the fuse, then check the bulbs behind the cluster the are probably burnt out.

Are all the fuses regarding lighting in the car located in the fuse box at the driver side left foot? Because here is the story, When i bought my car all my lights were working minus the dash thing though becasue my car couldnt start and i didnt drive it in the night. But I have a red wire that runs through the fuse box and it is just hanging at the bottom of the fuse box with no connection to anything. My friend decides to take the wire and touch the frame of the car, It sparked i asked him what was that he said nothin its not connected to anything. I realized that it was all my parking lights are gone. And it only works when i signal or when i brake. Ill try to get a pic of the wire if its necessary tonight. I checked all the fuses on the right side of that box though, i found one to be broken which i havent replaced yet.

Any problems related to dash lighting will be tied to the blue fuse labeled 15 or the wiring of said fuse on the right side of the cabin fuse box.

New To the Nicoclub and proud owner of a 92 Nissan 240sx. Had it since 2003 let it sit till a couple months ago. Having a blast driving it again. Anyways looking to install a turbo on an engine with about 200k. Will the turbo upgrade cause the engine to break down sooner?

Yes. Even with a good tune, turbos are inherently hard on an engine. I suggest replacing things such as pumps, belts, and piston rings (might as well change the pistons too).

Does anyone have a 240sx installed with a B&B Exhaust from an Infiniti G35 coupe? Has A sweet sound And is a bit expensive but wondering if it can be done.

Not sure why you'd want to run a dual exhaust on an inline 4 It would probably make your car slower...

It wouldn't sound the same on a 240, at least not unless you swap the engine in too, and that's going to cost extra.

If you have the balls, and a jack that will go high enough (and possibly a couple guys to lift the front end of your car), I think it is possible to take the motor out from the bottom of the car, rather than through the top. Thats how I do it on Maximas, and IIRC, I thought I saw it was possible why pulling the motor on my 240. Just unbolt the cross memeber, and take out EVERYTHING underneath the car, and unbolt the mounts from the block.GL!

Just an update from yesterday. I went to my fuse box today looked at my diagram. I had a fuse missing that was rated 15a, so i took one from blower motor and put it there, then i had another fuse that was in the wrong place, so i replaced that with my ac fuse and now my parking lights are working. How do i get to my dash lights? to see if the bulbs are blown.

Only way to get to those badboys is to practically remove your whole dash. You have to remove the cluster bezel, then there are 2 screws under that lip that overhangs the speedo. Unscrew both of those and you'll be able to remove the speedo. The bulbs will be visible. Be warned, this is the short version. Usually removing the cluster bezel requires you to unbolt your steering column, which requires removal of more parts of the dash...

you dont have to remove your whole dash...

download yourself an FSM so you can find out where the screws are located. Just beware, the plastic part where the a/c vents are on both sides of the steering wheel crack easy... mines cracked a little, but I guess cuz i was getting pissed and impatient, LOL. Just take your time.
