I have turbo??

I just noticed this today. I was at a stop light, and it turned green so I pressed on the gas and it turned to 2nd at 5000 RPM. Now at that point between 4500 and 5000 RPM my engine made that whistling noise like a turbo does. Its never done that before, and every time i accelerate it keeps doing it. Whats going on? I like the noise but is it normal?

no engine lights came on, im taking my car for services tues anyways. But my aftermarket intake makes that noise? cool, maybe ive just never noticed it before

What about the transmission it my be that have them check it as well.

Well you could check the fluid its simple.

Have them check the transmission for any leaks on the top of the transmission and just any leaks period.

Is this whining noise something new or was it always like this?

Does it change at all or is it the same sound?

i havent heard anything since i made this post so whatever. i took it in today, and it really needed the oil. They wouldnt let me watch until they noticed what i had done to the car. so there like, your a car guy you can stay. they really liked the HIDS and my remote fogs lol. One of the mechanics was pulling out an engine from a Murano which was interesting

If it was more of a whining noise, it was probably you.If it was a whistle, it was probably nothing.

It's your Injen cone filter. All short-ram/cold air intakes do that.

My Civic whistles like it's spotted a hot girl when it's @ 4-6K RPMs.
