no. But you do need to have a code reader than can cut a CEL off at your disposal
step 1) clear the code (DO NOT CUT THE CAR AFTER CLEARING)
2) Swap working coil in to cylinder 1
3) cut the car on, drive around and see if the CEL comes back on
4) If code comes back, turn the CEL off, swap old coil back to cylinder one, swap good coil to cylinder 2. Repeat this process until you find the bad coil
But like I said, one coil being bad is not keeping you car from starting, you have an underlying problem. When you go to crank the car, turn the headlights on before attempting to crank. Do your headlights and interior lights die?
