Now that I've got my fancy turbo setup all together I think there's finally a point in doing a build thread. I suppose I should start from the beginning.

I started out with this:

Which I crashed.

So I put a CA in it.

But it was a ****ty engine so I sold it, kept the good bits, scrapped the old chassis and bought a Silvia with a leaky headgasket. Fixed it. Three times. First to fix the original leak. Second after my wastegate vac line breaking on my first test drive, overboosting the turbo and blowing the newly installed gasket. And third after the ARP studs loosened up. Needless to say I learned my lesson, had the head resurfaced, retorqued the ARP's after 100km and began drifting it.

Put some HKS 256 cams in.

Then I put a front-mount on it.

Followed shortly after by oldschool Greddy flavor!

Currently running a hella conservative tune at 0.8bar, which I shall be remedying tomorrow. So far I can say this: If you have a chance of picking up one of these manifolds, DO IT. F!@# that equal length stuff, I love the sound it makes. With the cams and the equal length stainless manifold that came on it it had the slightest hint of a lope at idle, now the engine burbles.

Looks really awesome. I would totally run one of those manifolds if I didn't have that pesky steering column there.

Looks good man! I'd like to see a dyno chart with those HKS cams.

i had those cams when I made that 290whp graph that was lacking in the midrange.

ignition timing was way out however.

With the cams I can tell you that you do lose a bit of bottom end but you can feel the midrange pick up from about when the secondary butterflies open. Where they really shine, however, is the top end where a totally stock engine starts to run out of puff after 5500rpm these cams keep the engine pulling straight to redline even though the teeny T25 starts petering out as well.
