SO, i get my catback exhaust from stillen today. I am all excited unpack the new jack stands i bought pull out my jack out of the truck get it all jacked up and put on stands.

WTF i cant even reach bolts behind the cat!!!!!!!

so I jack up from the rear as HIGH as our little jack will put it. Nothing I can touch the bolt but no way could i competently put it all together. The back is fine no troubles there.

An suggestions besides Jenny Craig.?

this sub 6 footer has a little beef on .

It just seems odd. Like people have installed their own cat back exhaust with 2 jack stands and our jack in the trunk right ?

If Dangeris can fit under his car to get to that bolt then I am doing something wrong. I got some chub but years of hockey has left with me a decent size chest cavity :P

I already put it back on the ground. Like I said i could reach everything else except the bolts at the front of the exhaust

Uh.. How about trying to add a piece or two of wood block on your floor jack itself to raise it enough so that you can work under it... Maybe.

I Must admit, after putting in Eibach's its hard to reach. I jacked up just one side of the car to get enough clearance.

So just jack up one side of the car, gives you even clearance all down the car on one side, but is still pretty tight. but my 250 lbs, 6'2'' dad fit under there

park on a surface with a dip in the middle? or you could always make your own makeshift wheel ramps with 2x8's. i've never been under my car so i don't know how tight the squeeze is, but then again i'm 5'7 with not much meat so i wouldn't be able to relate. Taz has installed everything on my car for me

i'm fat too. to install my exhaust i lifted up the rear all the way then used jackstands to hold that. then took the jack out and lifted up the front as well. then you have the rear up all the way and the front up all the way and you're good to go

Alrighty so this morning i tackled the jacking situation again.

We are getting a walk put in here shortly and i had a 2" stone i put that under the jack and jacked it way up. The inside of the trunk was at my chest

I could easily now get under the car with jacking up the rear.

A little tip for anyone that is doing their exhaust, the rubber mounts hangers that it sits in are a pain in the a** to work with. I sprayed some Jig-o-loo on the hangers and mounts and it slipped off nice and easy.

I will look at doing some pics later this week and i will take the Go Pro with me for some sounds bits.

Dacoupe dont buy Jack Stands I bought a pair so whenever you get to doing your nismo you can use mine.
