On my morning commute, I saw a CRX with antique plates. I think I was 31 when they were the hottest new value on the market.

Ricer exhaust, but cosmetically bone stock.

The 80s are a long time ago. Even for those of us that were in the single digits in the 80s.

Just realized my 2 older cars are from the year I got my full license and they are coming up on 20 years old.

Oooooh son, you better be glad you are in NC! :)

Just kidding. I'm happy as I can be for him. As long as I don't look/feel/act/drive like a granny, I'm cool with it. :naughty:

Gosh, I just thought of something. The child wouldn't even be able to ride in the car with me. :squint: NO, I WON'T GET RID OF THE Z!

I bet she can beat the 10 hours Google maps says it takes from Memphis to Clemmons.

But it was a beauty

I was thinking more of:

"Eastbound and down....loaded up and trucking"

Lots of stops for bathroom breaks and bad hips slow down old people. :)

Granny is what all my family calls my grandmother, just trying it out for you. Though she's a bit older than you, a few decades.

That ain't old. I remember:

Drooling over a brand new 3.8 liter Jaguar XKE in the dealer's showroom.

Ditto for a 2 liter Porsche 911.

Watching Jim Clark and Graham Hill driving Lotus 49s at Mosport in Canada.

Watching Bruce McLaren and Denis Hulme drive in a CanAm race at Mosport. (McClaren won after starting from the rear of the grid.)

I was 15 when Jimmy blew that tire at Hockenheim. I was shattered.
