My battery was completely dead yesterday so I went to the part store to get it checked. They told me that the battery was no good, so I purchased a brand new one. I hooked it up and the car started one time.

The car will have all the lights turn on, you can hear the fuel pump prime the engine, and the starter engage. When I turn the key the car turn on, but it hesitates for approx. 2 seconds and then the engine turns off. If I give it a little gas it stays on (I didn't have any problems with the vehicle before the battery died on my yesterday). I also noticed that when I drive the car around with the A/C ON, if I let go of the gas the pressure of the air goes down, but if I stay on the gas the pressure goes back up. I didn't notice this before the battery died on me yesterday either. Not SES light is on, it doesn't hesitate while driving, and it doesn't idle rough once I get it to stay on. I'm lost, and help.

I'd test the alternator. Check voltage of battery with car off verses idling and @ moderate rpm.

I agree with Mark. Car can behave like crazy when the alternator is on the way out. With engine running, check battery charging voltage is at least 13.8 VDC and stable (no spike, spec is 14.1-14.7 VDC).
