I add about half a can to the cranck case and drive it on the motorway at 70-80mph for a few exits, then change the oil and filter that same day. I also add a full can to a fill-up twice a year, and add the proper amount to the vaccuum line once a year followed by motorway driving until the smoke stops. I have had no issues and I am witness to the enhanced performance of the engine by doing these three tihngs.

Hey guys. I just bought a 2007 M35x and want to Seafoam it . The guide is great but is missing the pictures.

Does anyone have a picture showing the location of the vacuum line?

...OR can you describe the location so I can find it?

Thanks in advance.

Welcome to the forum.

Line is on the back left of the motor. If I recall it comes from the firewall to the left side of the intake manifold...you can probably trace it.

I use this to clean injectors and valves in my GTV6, just running it through the gas. I've never "sucked it up" through the vacuum line, though. Part of me is worried that carbon deposits and oil sludge are the only things holding that Busso together. I also generally avoid poking the bear too much, when it comes to that car. I might give it a go with the Infiniti though.

Yeah I use it in my gas as well and a cap full or two in my oil at each oil change.

You can follow your brake booster vac line from the brake booster out to the rear of the motor. Easy way to find it.

I used half a can and the other half went into my crank case with the new oil. My oil is synthetic, but I will be changing it in 3k instead of my normal 6k due to the Sea Foam being in there.
Ilya, if you can remember, do you mean you poured this in with your oil? I'm looking for something to clean out my oil system..

I just went to their website and they said add it directly to the crank case, which I assume is not via oil fill up. Could you indicate where that is on one of the images you just uploaded please?

Also, did you leave it in, or run it a bit and then change the oil out for fresh pure oil?

You can use it in the oil but be sparing with it, it's a heavy duty cleaner but only a lightweight lubricant. I don't think more than half a can is a good idea unless you're using it as a motor flush and draining it out after a short time. Use it very sparingly if you're trying to clean out sludge. Like any flush, a large dose will risk breaking loose large chunks and clogging the oil pickup and rocker drains. Using a small amount over a long period will break the sludge down just as effectively, but with a lot less risk.

I updated a few of the pics I still have. If you do it through the vacuum hose, leave it for 30 min or so and suck up the whole bottle.

I use to put a cap full or two in with each oil change and leave it for the duration of the OCI. But if you put any more than that, you should change your oil within 100 miles or so.
