Does any one know if the paddle shifters are the same for a Right Hand Drive as they are for a left Hand drive vehicle? Or does anyone have a good source for the paddle shifter at a reasonable price?

I don't see why they would be any different. We carry the paddle shifter kits.

So I installed the paddle shift kit yesterday and have a question. If the vehicle is in automatic mode are the paddle shifters disabled?

I just did the install myself a week or 2 ago. If your driving with the gear shifter in Drive, and you hit the paddle shifter, the car will change gears. After a couple of seconds if you do not hit the paddle shifters again, it will go back into Drive.

Thanks I was thinking in drive mode it would disable the paddle shift mode, glad I didn't do anything incorrect!

I know this is an old post, I ordered the parts and will be installing the paddles as soon as I receive them and I have a question for the people who installed the paddles with the manufactured bracket. Since bracket is installed with one bolt, do you experience any wobbling or lose feeling in the shifters after a while that requires tightening of the 10mm bolt?

Haven't noticed any loose feeling at all in the few months I've had it on. Think it is so tightly fitted in there it can't really move much.

Thanks for the info. I received all my parts today and installed them, they turned out great. Here is a little DIY video I did for it.

I'm pretty sure the answer to this question is "no" but do the gears change faster when using the paddle shifters versus the console shifter?
It hard to justify the money for these paddle shifters when there's so much more different modding to do.

I feel the car actually shifts harder specially in up shifts. One other thing I love about is that it gives you the shift on demand option that you will not get with console shifter, because you have to put the care in manual and then shift, but with paddles, you can downshift to pass and then car shifts back to drive when you ease on the pedal. As far a price you always can get used ones on ebay for cheaper.

Does anyone know if the M30d paddle shifter and bracket is also the same as the rest of the Ms and Q70?

I don't see why not, it all falls under the Y51 model range. Honestly, I feel like they're the same as even the G37's paddle shifters.
