So I know this was covered before but just wanted to show everyone what I did in case you run into the same issue.

**Disclaimer** It had already been a long day for me maintenance wise and this was the last item on my list. I had swapped the clutch master and slave and changed the transmission gear oil. I didn't have the patience to fight with it more than I had to.

First off: There are 2 bulbs are they are located at the top of the HVAC controls. They just twist out of their sockets

Step 1: Remove the front panel to get to the HVAC panel.

Step 2 : In a previous online post I read while researching, if you pull the radio, you can unbolt the HVAC unit and lower it down to gain access to the bulbs. No matter how I tried to maneuver the unit, I couldn't get the thing to move back and down and I got fed up.

Like I said earlier, i was tired so I said screw it. The car is old, the panel is hidden...I just cut the top piece of plastic and bent it back to gain access to the bulbs

Step 3: Remove the factory bulbs. I had a bunch of 12v LEDs from a previous side project to I cut the old lights out, removed the factory metal tabs from the factory bulb holder and just slid the LED bulb in.

Step 4: I used butt connecters to hook everything up, then just put everything back together the way they came out.

Step 5: Nice and bright

Again, it may be easier for you, but just wanted to show how it can be done.

Good luck !
