Do you know when the clock switchover happened?

The 1996-2000 owners' manuals all depict the clock being in the stock head unit; 2001-2004 show the clock in the vent assembly.

Yeah, it appears they changed it in 2001.

The first time removing it is tough.I used 2 pieces of 1/4 rod with a 1/2' bend and placed it on the right rear of the vent(make sure your fully behind it and pull a little at a time.The clip on the left is easy because there are 2 on the right.The next time all you'll probably have to do is get a rigid putty knife under the right side face panel but be careful not to apply to much force and if there's a problem reuse your bent rods again.they will now be part of your Pathfinder tool kit lol.

looking at the first picture, i snapped the finish in pieces(woodgrain) and also the swivel thing and horizontal bars in the ac... i got too aggressive with the removal, anyone know a good/cheap place or website i could use to replace this?
