I need to remove the needle on my 1993 Hardbody Pickup. My speed is off by 10mph because I have 22s on it and I just want to adjust it. Also my tach is off as well because I have a 4 cylinder and I installed a V6 cluster in it. I was going to move that as well. I know it has something to do with the resistance but I don't know what I need to do to fix it so I was thinking I could move the needle on that as well. Thanks

You can but you have to be very careful as they are jammed on there very tight. I found the tach needle comes of easier but not by much. I was lucky and had a back up cluster to grab the needles from and got to practice and not ruin the one in the truck first. You should look into a back up unit if one is available just in case something breaks. The only was to remove them is to pry them off. I used a door panel removal tool.

Thanks for the reply, I finally got it off. The tach still doesn't read as it should. I guess I have to use a 4 Cylinder tach instead of the V6

On the back of the tach there is a small blue knob, that knob changes the tach from v6 to 4 cylinder. Turn the knob with a small screw driver. Can't tell you which way is which though.
