I think they get a kick out of hearing peoples response to the damage.

News reporter: That massive tornado just wiped out your entire neighborhood. Your family is now homeless, and you have nowhere to go. What are you going to do?

Victim: Well, we gone rebuilt

Better yall than me.

I saw one, one time, and didnt like seeing it so close (5 miles or so). I have a bad fear of anything I cant kill with my 9mm. Tornados, hurricanes, tidal waves, ghosts, etc....

My dad likes to go out side and watch when he thinks a tornado is coming."Jonathan, look at how those clouds are spinning, I bet there's gonna be a tornado!" At that point I usually go inside.

I'd absolutely LOVE to watch a tornado from a reasonably safe distance. I'd really love to get really close to one as long as I had somewhere safe to run and it wasn't my s*** gettin f*** up when it came through.

I dont care to get close to them at all.

bassinasilvia, Yeah, that would be my reaction as well.

The one draw back to being a red neck, is red necks dont put basement in their mobil homes. I want a basement. It has to have basic survival gear. Beer, potato chips, gun, that's about it.

Definitely. Such raw power. I'd pay money to see a particularly big one up close.

I'm kinda stupid when it comes to bad storms and stuff...

they don't scare me.

if I'm not busy I'll go watch or something...

it does however piss me off when it kills my power.

I used to love it when the power would go out back home for a few days. It was out for a solid 5 days once, that was awesome.

I have to say that 5 days of no power would equal ultimate suckitude. MY GBA and PSP batteries would run low quick...No light by which to read...no heat...fortunately I have a gas range and a bunch of bics...but all the food in the fridge would spoil...No, power out for 5 days is a very bad thing.

Yeah... well I never had any gaming systems when I was a kid, and still don't. I don't even have a tv so that's not really a problem. Food in the fridge does start going bad after that long though, no matter how careful you are about not opening it. I would sit around and read, or play scrabble or something. I really loved having a few days where the tv couldn't be turned on.

Well I mean it's Santa Cruz...I could spend 5 days on the boardwalk staring at women. Of course you can get by without power
