My I30 is exhibiting a buzzing noise from the passenger's side when the HVAC system is turned on. From talking to an Infiniti tech I have learned that this probably means a new blower motor is necessary and that it is a common problem for the A33s. So I go to everythinginfiniti.com to look up the cost, only to find two different parts listed, both under heating/HVAC, labelled "blower motor". One is $7, the other is about $150. The only difference listing-wise is that one is under "collision" parts listings and the other is under "mechanical". Which is the right part? I'm hoping it's the cheap one, but I'm confused.

My guess is that the cheaper one is just the motor itself, and the more expensive one is the whole assembly block that you have to remove to get to the motor.

Just give them a call to be on the safe side, but I would guess the cheaper one as well.

That's what I was hoping, the Infiniti techs I've talked to have told me that it's just the motor that needs to be replaced and not the whole assembly. I will check with the dealer though to be sure.
